OUT OF TOUCH WITH GREATNESS!

7-16-17

OUT OF TOUCH WITH GREATNESS!

“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented. For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.”

Matthew11:11-19KJV

Introduction

Prophetic Word ---Welcome to July! This is the 7th month, God's perfect number. It is a number of divine completion, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

Philippians1:6KJV

REST - “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew11:28KJV

“For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”

Hebrews4:3KJV

The ending of a cycle.

1.       “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” - Isaiah42:9KJV

2.       Some things are getting ready to break

This is a month to redeem time.

1.       Compensation for wasted time

2.       Make up for lost time

3.       Things that have been delayed and are behind schedule are getting ready to catch up with you now

4.       Make up ground; full speed ahead, a month of acceleration

In 2017 July will have 5 Saturdays, Sunday's and Monday's So here is the revelation. As we enter into the 7th month, of the Jewish year 5777...grace will increase in value & intensity in your life.

Expect supernatural surprises! God, in the month of July, will perfect those things concerning your life & perform that which He has declared over your life.

It is a month of manifesting the Word of God spoken. God's word is pure as silver is purified seven times... silver symbolic of redemption.

God will give you extra grace to accomplish great feats & defy the odds as you redeem time throughout the entire month of July.

It will not be by your might or by your power but by the Spirit of the Lord. Zech 4:6 #HistoryMakers2017

Sermon Addresses

1.       Limitation thinking and introduces potential thinking

2.       Attempt to inform you that God is not desirous of disqualifying you from success

3.       Simply want to curb your attention so that you set your affections on things that are above

4.       Train you to allow heaven to be the meter that measures your endeavors

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) defines someone who is “psychotic” as out of touch with reality, likely experiencing false beliefs, known as delusions, or false sights or sounds, known as hallucinations.

John must contact Jesus through messengers because John is in Herod's prison, soon to face execution for his bold proclamation (14:3-12). John has already recognized Jesus' identity (3:14);

“And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:”

Luke1:40-41KJV

Now, in prison, he is undoubtedly discouraged and doubting, like many other men and women of God facing trials that seem greater than their power to endure.

Kingdom perception

Identification creates expectations and expectations determines manifestation, you can't have what you can't see

If we are going to accomplish anything in the earth, our personal lives, ministerial lives, wor business lives, it must begin and end with our knowing of who Jesus is!

"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” - Philippians3:10KJV

“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;”

Ephesians3:16-18KJV

1.       Breadth

2.       Length

3.       Depth
4.       Height

In order to discern your kingdom greatness you have to be a dimensionalist, because when God deals with us he deals with us in relation to dimensions.

Kingdom Validation

Greatness comes through finding or testing the truth of something and establishing it as an anchor to be the compass to assist in guiding you to the place called destiny.

1.       Affirmation

2.       Authentication

3.       Many of us have lost sight of our greatness because we would rather receive approval from the world than God

1.       The problem with that is, the world lies

2.       Because the world didn't make you it can never see you as your true self

3.       “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” - Jeremiah29:11 KJV

4.       “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” - John8:32KJV

5.       Revelation creates expectation and expectation demands materialization

Kingdom preparation - I sent John before you to blaze a path for you

1.       Pioneer

2.       Trailblazer

3.       Pathfinders

4.       Gatekeepers

5.       Prophetic/ miracles, signs and wonders

1.       It's going to meet me there

2.       A grace and a flow in the supernatural to meet you there

6.       Apostolic

7.       I prepared the way for you to take the toil out of your assignment

Lost of effectiveness because to overly concerned with opinion polling; what are they saying

Desire to play when they should have been conducting business

1.       Education

2.       Family

3.       Religion

4.       Business

5.       Arts/Entertainment

6.       Government/military

7.       Media

    • Trading

    • Merchandising

    • Traversing

    • Negotiating

    • Transacting

Rather than RULING, you wanted to entertain

To preoccupied with either celebrating or mourning, caught between two extremes, could not find your rhythm-balance

Conclusion

Greatness is an idea - Proverbs 23:7

Greatness is a vision - supervision/ oversight, superintendence, inspection: provision

Greatness is an empowerment - conference, enabling

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

Daniel11:32KJV

MY HOUSE DOWN

04-30-2017

“Three days later, David and his men arrived back in Ziklag. Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They tore Ziklag to pieces and then burned it down. They captured all the women, young and old. They didn’t kill anyone, but drove them like a herd of cattle. By the time David and his men entered the village, it had been burned to the ground, and their wives, sons, and daughters all taken prisoner.

David and his men burst out in loud wails—wept and wept until they were exhausted with weeping. David’s two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail widow of Nabal of Carmel, had been taken prisoner along with the rest. And suddenly David was in even worse trouble. There was talk among the men, bitter over the loss of their families, of stoning him.

David strengthened himself with trust in his GOD. He ordered Abiathar the priest, son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the Ephod so I can consult God.” Abiathar brought it to David.

Then David prayed to GOD, “Shall I go after these raiders? Can I catch them?” The answer came, “Go after them! Yes, you’ll catch them! Yes, you’ll make the rescue!””

1 Samuel 30:1-8 MSG

IT'S A FAMILY FIGHT

MARCH 26, 2017

“Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work. And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah. They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon. For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.”

Nehemiah 4:13-18 KJV

INTRODUCTION

  • We begin a new series of sermons today, which are themed out to empower the family
  • As we well know, we have been pouring into the thought of "The Year of Unprecedented Victories!"
  • “Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.” - 1 John 5:4-5 MSG
    • Faith
    • Family
    • Finances
    • Fitness
      • It is of no surprise that the word teaches that we can only receive what the kingdom must offer through faith
      • “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” - Galatians 3:14 KJV
  • I believe most would agree that there is a disintegration of the family
  • We are losing the battles in our families, winning in every other area but losing as fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters
    • We are busy building careers
    • We are busy building individual legacies
    • Amassing wealth
    • Social accouterments
    • We must understand that a major component as it relates to the Abrahamic blessing is an empowerment to bless the families of the earth
      • “Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” - Genesis 12:1-3 KJV
      • Fight the urge to privatize the power of a God-assignment: it is always a global empowerment that secondarily answers the need individually and locally but is primarily for the masses
  • Many us sitting here today and those listening are a part of families that are in crisis
  • In this year of Unprecedented Victories let's make up our mind and agree to win in the area of family
  • Let's put the enemy on notice that we are families under reconstruction because Kingdom Families Rock
  • Today we look at the Nehemiah Model for family.

[Today as we raise the text we are admonished to fight for the family that we love and value]

BODY

  • The enemy will always underestimate your ability and attempt to exploit your weaknesses
    • “And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.” - Nehemiah 4:2-3 KJV
    • For every undertaking there will always be Sanballat and Tobiah
      • Sanballat - the enemy is secret
      • Tobiah - Jehovah is good
        • Sometimes even your enemies will prove to you just how marvelous good is
        • It's never as bad you think
  • Have your life and the lives of your family attached to something that will outlive you and impact generations to come
    • “And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?” - 1 Samuel 17:29 KJV
    • At some point, we need to evaluate our lives and ask the hard question, "What have I done?"
      • Whether we admit it or not all of us seek purpose/meaning
      • I believe other than the word of God an idea is one of the most powerful thing that exist in the world
      • The cause of God will outlast the plethora causes that thrive in the world today
  • Be committed to building walls
    • Walls provide protection
    • Walls establish boundaries
      • We cannot reconstruct our families if we do not set for them standards
      • “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” - Isaiah 59:19 KJV
        • The diem "lift a standard," means lift or put to flight
        • Boundaries or standards tell the enemies of our life not here keep it moving
  • Acknowledge there will be opposition
    • Victory attracts backlash and retaliation
    • “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” - 1 Corinthians 16:9 KJV
      • Attacks are signals that you have the advantage
      • “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” - 2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV
  • Realize that we cannot do it by ourselves
    • All you need to realize is that God is on your side
    • “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” - Romans 8:31 KJV
    • “How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?” -Deuteronomy 32:30 Kjv
      • God has already given our families over to our hands
      • It's been determined that you will win for your family
      • “Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.” - Psalms 112:1-3 KJV

Conclusion

  • Remember The Lord and fight
    • “Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;” - Judges 3:2 KJV
    • “Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:” - Psalms 144:1 KJV
  • The enemy has already heard of your success because of your God
  • I value family at such an astounding magnitude that I build with one hand and I fight with the other
    • Spiritually ambidextrous
    • Multitasking without losing focus
      • It's family first
      • I fight for my family!
      • It's a family fight

WHAT HAPPENS IN MY HOUSE CAN'T STAY IN MY HOUSE!

APRIL 2, 2017

What Happens In This House Can't Stay In This House!

“And it came to pass after this, that  the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her. But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man. And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister. And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes. And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him. And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother. And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister. And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly. And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee. Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her. Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her. Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.”

2 Samuel 13:1-5, 8-17 KJV

Introduction

These next series of messages are going to be for mature audiences only.

We are embarking upon a dangerously necessary subject.

It's going to require bravery, transparency, and a commitment to break our allegiance to planning around our dysfunction; we cannot continue to be married to decay and date wholeness on the side, if we are going to build our families. Our systems, structures and plans must revolve around the way we see ourselves in the future and not our past.

  1. It doesn’t get better over time if you don't deal with
  2. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians ‪2:11
  3. There are devices, machines, systems in fact setup and are in operation for the demise of the family
  4. Contrary, to popular belief what you don't know will hurt you
  5. There will be some moment during this series that we will laugh together but there be other moments that we will cry together
  6. However, we will not consider ourselves to be successful until we all have gotten better

I grew up in a time when it was commonplace to hear the words “What happens in this house stays in that house.”

It usually came after I disciplined for being a bit too talkative, after-all, you didn’t live in Jennie B’s house and talk her business. Whilst in some instances it was understandable and others it was not.

Things like domestic abuse, sexual perversion, alcoholism, and emotional deprivation were never discussed but simply swept under carpet because after-all what happens in this house stays in this house.

Never any counseling because to request such or thing whether professional or spiritual would have been interpreted as selling the family out.

I am Not suggesting that I had a terrible upbringing or that I had the worse of parents what I am suggesting is that most of us go through things in our childhood that now in our adulthood we are attempting to cope with and for some of us unsuccessfully.

I noticed in many instances in my life the boy Billy caused the man Billy to fail because of unresolved issues. What stays in the house gets in the blood!

  1. Gets in my DNA
  2. Transmitted in to the bloodline
  3. We got to understand the gravity of every right now attack because of the trans-general anointing on our lives to break the back of the enemy
  4. There are family assignments that are present in this room
  5. Assignments of warfare
  6. Assignments of wealth transfers
  7. That's why many of us that showed up today need to fight as if the very lives of our families depended upon the fight that's in us

we need not be embarrassed or feel some kind of way because if you are a part of the human family we all at some point or time have had to deal with issues.

One thing that the world has mastered that the church has not come into the reality of is that, you cannot get an answer to a problem until you first admit that you got a problem.

The family cannot receive the healing that it needs until the people who make up the family get healed.

The church has taught us that its not good church etiquette to be a church member with a serious problem, it has taught us to live lies:

  1. Act like you saved even if you are not
  2. Act like you got it together even if you don't
  3. The all-time favorite: never let them see you sweat
    1. God forbid if any of us would come in with our issue exposed
    2. God forbid that the drunkard would come in drunk
    3. The prostitute come in smelling like the sheets that she/he left
    4. We have trained ourselves to settle for living in falsehood

We say the church are for broken people but we train them once they come to pretend like they are fixed: as a result, believers become self-delusional.  Self-delusion is the enemy of wholeness.

Self-delusion - characterized by allowing oneself to hold onto idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder. Self-delusion is a type of blindness, which doesn't allow you to see things as they are.

We see here in the text that Amnon [Faith]is Blinded by Lust.

What do you when your faith is driven by lust? Many of us have allowed our desires to contaminate our faith and we moved out of God's will, timing, and plan for our lives.

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” - James ‪1:14-15 KJV

  1. We cannot limit lust only to that which is sexual
  2. Many of us lust after money
  3. Many of us lust after careers
  4. Many of us lust after that which is material
  5. An inordinate desire for anything or anybody will lead to deterioration and ultimately destruction

[Many of us just like the text have suffered Violence to the family]

Body:

Shame - a painful emotion resulting from the awareness of inadequacy, guilt, or dishonor

  1. After Amnon raped Tamar he attempted to send her away: but how many of us know that out of sight is not out of mind
  2. For some of us we are wearing shame not because of what we did but because of what was done to us
  3. “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.”  ~ Isaiah 54:4 KJV
  4. Life stuff will no longer hold you down or keep you out
  5. The reality is stuff happens but you don't have to become stuff
  6. Refuse to wear the labels of your conditions or circumstances

Secrecy - the condition of being concealed or hidden

“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.”  ~ Luke ‪8:17 KJV

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”~ Ephesians ‪6:11 KJV

Wiles are strategies; the more we know about the enemy the more we can fight.

Secrecy is a weapon of the devil because he is a deceiver by nature and he traffics in dark places.

“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.”

1 Thessalonians 5:5 KJV

Scandal - Disgraceful gossip or an event about the private lives of others

  1. For many of us we have been the family that everybody talked about on the block because of some disgrace
  2. The family that everybody talked about in church because of disgrace
  3. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall ‪rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” - Isaiah 54:17 KJV

YOU WILL FIND IT AGAIN!

March 19, 2017

YOU WILL FIND IT AGAIN!

“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”

Ecclesiastes11:1-6KJV

INTRODUCTION:

1.       As we traverse the text, we look at the book of Ecclesiastes it is the book of perspectives

1.       Ecclesiastes is the narrative of the preacher and teacher

2.      Solomon instructs the believer that life without God and living it in a way other than God's way leads to emptiness

3.      Solomon suggests to the reader that we should trust in the eternal God rather than temporal pleasures

2.       The desire today is to offer another perspective and specifically the perspective of the Kingdom for living a productive and fruitful life

1.       The mandate has been and always will be that every believer be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and finally have dominion

2.      The kingdom mandate has never been simply about what we call having good church

3.      As believers we have settled for the emotional empty in lieu of Kingdom occupation and expansion

4.      Living a life that is so over the top spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially that everyone that meet you desire to know how you do it

5.      Every believer that's serious about taking territory for the kingdom and walking in dominion realizes that it all begins with a simply seed

1.       “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” -Genesis8:22KJV

2.      The first has the seed, there is a future in a seed; every seed shall produce after its kind, seed bearing fruit

3.      I am supposed to produce, I am supposed to multiply, it is justifiable for me to have the expectation of never running out, I suppose to be in charge

4.      St. Luke 6:38 ~ Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke6:38 KJV)

Only What I Give Can Be Multiplied!!!

As long as I hold on to what I have it will behave itself as my harvest. It is only when I release it that becomes my seed.

For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” - Ecclesiastes7:10-12KJV

3.      Seize opportunities

1.       We cannot afford to sow or not sow based upon the present climate

THE POWER OF THE FIRST

March 12, 2017

The Power of the First

“So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.”

1 Kings 17:10-16 KJV

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Matthew 6:33-34 KJV

Introduction:

  • The book of 1st Kings a chronicle of death of David, the reign of his son Solomon and the rise of The Prophet Elijah amongst the ten tribes of Israel
  • It's interesting because the 17th chapter of 1st Kings is the introduction and inauguration of a new prophetic season and voice
  • Elijah comes on the scene from out of nowhere, shifting seasons and proclaiming that an adverse climate different to what had been was in its way
    • If nothing else one thing that a sure prophet will have the ability to do, is shift climates
    • Traversing atmospheric and environmental pervasive trends
    • Prophetically speaking, certain things cannot happen until it is released by and through the mouth of the prophet
      • For some of us the beginning and ending of a thing is waiting for our verbal instructions before proceeding
      • Such was the case of Elijah; "There shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my words."
      • Can you imagine having such a weight and depth with the Father prophetically that the rain would have to obey you?
      • Though there was drought everywhere else God during deprivation ordained preservation for the Prophet
        • Brook
        • Ravens
        • Bread
        • Flesh
        • Widow

As powerful as Elijah's ministry was this story is more about the Widow's ministry than Elijah's

Body:

  • God is looking for someone who has a discerning heart and who understands "The Power of The First" to sustain the institution we know of as prophetic
    • A prophetic institution is never governed by what it sees
    • A prophetic institution is always governed by the word of God
  • When you understand the principle of the "First" one act of obedience can change the trajectory of your life
    • Free obedience = submission
    • Forced obedience = slavery
  • Those who live their lives strategically calculate their next steps not by where they are but where they desire to go
    • When God desires to interrupt the flow of an inferior dimension in your life he will more times than not require out of you what you consider to be impossible.
    • If you can accomplish it within your own might and strength there is no need for divine intervention: it is the exhaustion of your natural that the super steps in
  • From the natural perspective, the widow didn't have enough to live but in the spiritual prophetic realm she had more than enough to live. It was simply a matter of what window she would choose to look out of.
    • God never intended for believers to be sustained by the systems of this world: it is human instinct to have an allegiance to whatever feeds you.
    • Whenever lack appears in our life, its sole purpose is to teach us to live out of and through another dimension. You must decide whether you will master the material or abort the mission.
      •  "If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world."              ~ C.S. Lewis
      • what she had was simply a handful, categorically a little, however, she had something; you got to be willing to give God something to work with.
        • When your little is your everything you can get anything when you invest it in the Master's plan.
          • “There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless, the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.” - Proverbs 19:21 KJV
          • No matter what your status in life is god will assign you to make something happen for somebody and use your obedience to follow through as an instrument to upgrade your life
          •
            1. What you need do not exempt you from assignment
            2. What you don't have will not exempt from assignment
            3. Your socioeconomic status does not exempt you from your assignment
            4. In fact, God will use you where you are to get you where you got to go

Conclusion:

  • My "first" is a representation of the measure of the seek in my life that determines the direction and manifestation of all that will follow
    • “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” ~ Matthew 6:21 KJV
    • “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” ~ Colossians 3:2 KJV
      • If I sow to the spirit I will reap from the spirit
      • I obligate the spiritual realm by my seed
  • My "first" is defense against waste in my life
    • Pine away
    • Grow thinner or weaker
      • Meal/flour shall not waste
      •  Ingredients necessary for bread
      • Bread biblically is revelation
      • If I am obedient to the revelation that God gives me I will always have more than I need; even when it looks like I don't
  • My "first" powers a machine in life that will not fail
    • Disappoint or prove undependable
    • Stop functioning or fall short
      • Oil biblically is the spirit
      • Oil biblically is the anointing
        • Burden lifting, yoke destroying power of God
        • My "first" causes for an anointing to be present in my life that breaks the back of failure
        • When I seed my "first" in winning soil I put a demand on my harvest and what I produce to always win
        • "There Is Power In The First"

THE JOURNEY TO UNCOMMON FAITH

February 26, 2017

“Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:1-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

INTRODUCTION: Last We met:
[There is no getting around the fact that fighting and faith are closely associated and connected together is unavoidable]

  1. We are training our faith to conquer the unchartered territories in/out of our lives
  2. It is a well none fact within christendom that whilst money is the currency of the earth, faith is the currency of the kingdom of God
  3. In fact, the kingdom of God, is the realm of the supernatural. In faith operating in the realm of the supernatural is not optative but a prerequisite
    1. “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”- ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    2. "Just shall live by faith;" living according to where we came from and not where we have been transplanted.
    3. I believe the greatest fight that you will ever fight is the fight of faith, this is why Paul in his epistle to Timothy refers to it as the "good fight of faith."
  4. Three dimensions to our faith:
See it dimension
  1. You got to see it before you see it
  2. We must have the eyes of faith
    1. Faith is seeing from God's point of view
    2. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” - Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭kjv
      1. Faith is the raw material of which things that are not seen are seen
      2. When you are really operating in faith you need nothing outside of faith to agree with you because faith is the eye-witness account that it has already happened
Say it dimension
  1. Words are containers that we can load our faith in
  2. Words connects earth to heaven
    1. Therefore, whatever God will position in your hands have to be declared with your mouth
    2. “Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” - Job‬ ‭22:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    3. “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” - Mark‬ ‭11:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    4. In the kingdom we understand that not only was words primarily used for creation but also secondarily used for domination
Seize it dimension
  1. “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” - ‭Obadiah‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  2. When you fight the good fight of faith, faith will allow you to possess but is already rightfully yours
    1. Salvation
    2. Deliverance
    3. Healing
    4. Peace
    5. Joy
    6. Prosperity
  3. “I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.” - Ezekiel‬ ‭21:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Body:
  1. The only way to experience Unprecedented Victories is to fight in faith and with faith.
    1. When God desires to to anything in the earth he looks for faith
    2. “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” ~ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    3. Faith is the only way to get God to move on your behalf
    4. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” ~ Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  2. Faith is very much like a muscle and it must undergo development
    1. Very much like our natural muscle, faith grows under resistance
    2. “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” ~ Luke‬ ‭17:5‬ ‭KJV
  3. As we explore this principle of uncommon faith, we must be aware that there are at least 5 varying types of faith
No faith
  1. “And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” ~ Mark‬ ‭4:40‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  2. Wherever fear is faith is not; they cannot coexist in the same space
  3. No worries, a born again, baptized, Holy Ghost believer cannot have this type of faith
    1. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” - ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      1. We are gifted faith by God at the point of salvation
      2. “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” - Mark‬ ‭11:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        1. Have the God-kind of faith
        2. Have the faith of God
        3. God measure of faith
    2. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    3. “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” - ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Little faith
  1. “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” ~ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  2. You can't afford to allow the enemy to force you to second guess your faith in God
  3. Little faith is when you mix faith with doubt instead of faith and the word
  4. “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”-Hebrews‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    1. "Faith is the only eye witness testimony we need that what God have said has already come to past. Never confer with the opinion of others when heaven has already spoken. The case is closed!"
    2. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” - Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    3. Faith feeds on the word of God, nothing more, nothing less
    4. Faith is not a feeling and it goes beyond that which is factual
      1. Feelings - sensation/emotion
      2. Facts - information
      3. Faith - revelation
        1. Faith is not denial but it is dismissal
        2. “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. - ”‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        3. Faith appropriated empowers its user to transfer, transmute, and transplant
        4. “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.”- Matthew‬ ‭25:14-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    5. Too many of us have been digging in the wrong place/earth
    6. The term used in the text traded can also be translated as:
      1. Merchandizing
      2. Transact business
      3. Import & export
      4. Interchange or exchange
    7. We must learn to transact business in another dimension/realm
    8. We've been digging holes for ourselves long
    9. Digging in the earth/ a system that is already cursed will get you dirty and get you winded but it will not render the kind of return you/we are looking for
Dead faith
  1. “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” ~ James‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  2. Faith is not works, however faith doesnt travel without works
  3. Works complete our faith
  4. For many of us our faith has not gone the distance of our destiny because we have not manifested/produced and brought forward that which was in the abstract into the concrete, the invisible into the visible
    1. “And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.”- ‭James‬ ‭2:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    2. Righteousness-god's way of doing things
Unfeigned faith
  1. “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.” ~ 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭KJV‬
  2. Unfeigned faith is pure and genuine complete confidence
    1. It is transferable - move from one place to another
    2. It is transgenerational - move from one time to another
Great faith
  1. This is the realm/measure that all believers should aspire to attain
  2. It is the God-measure

[The text teaches us the principle and components necessary to operate with the power of great faith]

In your journey to uncommon faith to experience Unprecedented Victories you have to discern that you are one in and under authority
  1. The story revolves around the "Centurion" -  a legionary with the command of a 100(Understanding rank & file: the microcosm of our the Kingdom works)
  2. He didn't want Jesus to come under his roof/authority he wanted to come under Jesus' authority
    1. Jesus outranked him
    2. “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” ~ Psalms‬ ‭107:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  3. The centurion was not only a captain but also an intercessor
  4. In this season it is not enough simply to have faith for ourselves we must have faith for somebody else
    1. Intercession
      1. What do you have in your life that is near dead
    2. Uncommon faith will often drive you to build something  that is sustainable for the masses
    3. Uncommon faith will give you a positive reputation
    4. Your problems will never out-rank you
      1. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” - 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      2. God will never let you pushed beyond your limits
Conclusion:
  1. The road less traveled is the road to faith because most are driven by sense-realm
  2. Great & uncommon faith will always get Gos's attention
  3. Great & uncommon faith will undoubtedly always produce results

DON'T LET VICTORY DEFEAT YOU!

February 8, 2017

“But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth–aven, on the east side of Beth–el, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai. And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.”
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭7:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

INTRODUCTION:
  • Last we met we spoke of "Wrestling To Win"
  • Wrestle with self
  • Wrestle with God
  • Wrestle with what I am carrying
  • Wrestle with the enemy
  • I am totally convinced that this year's victories are going to come at such an accelerated rate that the accomplishments are going to be experienced simultaneously (At the same time) and sequentially (one after the other)
  • It is my desire that today's message will serve as a precautionary proposition to warn its hearers of the risk of being prematurely at ease in Zion
    • "Peace has cost you your strength, victory has defeated you!" ~ Bane: Batman, The Dark Knight Rises
    • I think it is important for us to clearly distinguish the difference between contractual peace vs. temporal peace
      •  Contractual/convenant - nothing missing, nothing broken, everything good overflowing. A wholeness term
      • Temporal/momentary - it thrives in the moment and is not long term or farreaching
      • “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” - Romans‬ ‭8:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        • More than a conqueror
        • Super conqueror
        • To gain a Surpassing victory
        • Completely and overwhelmingly victorious
  • If we are not careful we can win the battle but lose the war!
    • “Blessed be the LORD, my Rock and my great strength, Who trains my hands for war And my fingers for battle;” ~ PSALM‬ ‭144:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬
    • War is a large scale event comprising a number of battles, and involving one or more nations or establishments. A battle on the other hand is a rather small scale combat, which is usually localized
      • Don't stop short of your final destination; go all the way
      • Why settle for part when you can have it all
  • Success celebrated too long will breed conceit, compromise, and premature comfort.

[What do we learn from our text]
BODY:
  • In victory those  who are praisers will always win
  • In victory  we cannot hide behind hallelujah and thank you jesus because praise is a revealer of the heart
  • In victory you must be careful to not let  the lenses of your eyes to be tainted by previous victories
    • “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” - 1 Corinthians‬ ‭16:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    • “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” - ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    • Don't be found napping
    • Even in victory train for the next battle
  • In victory if you are not careful it will cause for you to underestimate your enemy and overestimate your ability
  • When victory defeats you the enemies of your success discover unsecured doors to your heart, causing fear
CONCLUSION:
  • Defeat defeat
  • Take the city of Ai
  • Ai means "The ruin," I cannot allow victory to ruin me
  • The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way. ~ Robert Kiyosaki
  • Whatever you do, don't lose your fight
    • Remain hungry
    • Remain thirsty
  • Don't let peace rob you of your strength
  • Don't allow victory to defeat
  • go from victory to victory.
  • after you win get ready to fight and win again
  • gain more territory and dominion each time you win.
  • Winning in different dimensions on different levels, gaining new ground.

A GOOD FIGHT

February 5, 2017

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:6-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

[There is no getting around the fact that fighting and faith are closely associated and connected together is unavoidable]

INTRODUCTION:
  1. It is a well none fact within christendom that whilst money is the currency of the earth, faith is the currency of the kingdom of God
  2. In fact, the kingdom of God, is the realm of the supernatural.
    3. When the text speaks of "Eternal life" it is not exclusive to just going to heaven in the afterlife, but also living in the right-now life. It is not simply where we go but how we operate!
    4.  Laying hold of "eternal life" is living a life in the supernatural and faith is the only way we can access the supernatural. In the kingdom of God Faith is not optative it is a prerequisite
  3. I believe the greatest fight that you will ever fight is the fight of faith, this is why Paul in his epistle to Timothy refers to it as the "good fight of faith."
  4. If I conquer my fears and win faith in the process I have in essence guaranteed that every other problem in life will bow to me
  5. Therefore in essence:
    1. I don't have a money problem, I got a faith problem
    2. I don't have a sickness problem, I have a faith problem
    3. I don't have a family problem, I have a faith problem
    4. MASTER YOUR FAITH AND YOU WILL MASTER YOUR PROBLEMS!
[Are you ready to fight the good fight of faith?]

Body:
  1. See it!
    1. “And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” ~ ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭13:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      1. Faith has no borders and sees no boundaries
      2. Where you are right now is your starting point but it does not have to be your ending point
    2. You got to see it before you see it
  2. Say it!
    1. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” - Genesis‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      1. In the beginning words were not used for communication
      2. In the beginning words were used for creation
      3. Words are containers that we can load our faith in
      4. Words connects earth to heaven
        1. Therefore, whatever God will position in your hands have to be declared from your mouth
      1. In the kingdom we understand that not only was words primarily used for creation but also secondarily used for domination
      2. “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” - Romans‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        1. Through the words of faith I am able to dominate the visible & invisible realm
        2. That which is dead I bring alone
        3. Through the words of faith I am able to bring forth something out of nothing, I dominate lack, slack, and the emptiness that exist in the world today
  3. Seize it!

Conclusion:
  1. The good fight of Faith allows me to grasp kingdom perspectives and live the kingdom lifestyle
  2. The good fight of faith allows me to make a mark that cannot be erased
    1. “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” - Genesis‬ ‭12:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    2. “And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” - Genesis‬ ‭15:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
  3. The good fight of faith doesn't require me to make sense it requires me to make faith
    1. I therefore give my faith a job
    2. I therefore give my faith a purpose
    3. I therefore require that my faith produce results

WRESTLE AND WIN!

January 22, 2017

“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭32:24-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

INTRODUCTION:
“I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:26‬ KJV‬‬

"The Pareto principle (also known as the 80/20 rule, the law of the vital few, or the principle of factor sparsity) states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. ... Pareto developed both concepts in the context of the distribution of income and wealth among the population."

I am going  to make a very bold assertion:
Victories don't come by accident, if you want victory you first have to surrender!
  • It is in looking like you have lost everything that you begin the road victory

  •     “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” ~ Mark‬ ‭8:36‬ KJV‬‬

  • The greatest example of this very truth is Jesus hanging on the cross and presumably looking defeated
    • However, Jesus was his most victorious when he was his most vulnerable
    • “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” ~ John‬ ‭18:37‬ KJV‬‬
    • Like Jesus we were born to be kings and to testify to the truth of that very fact
    • To have a witness in the earth of our kingship, it is only then that we can defeat defeat!

      • Our winning is not by accident, it is destiny

      • It is eternity colliding with the rhythm and intervals of our lives

BODY:
If  Victories do not come by accident and they do not, then that truth must translate to us learning to be calculating.
  • We must live intentionally
  • We must have decisively
  • We must live by design

Level I Victory ~ Wrestling with Self
  • Jacob was left alone
    • It's lonely at the top
      • How do you deal with isolation
      • How do you deal with alienation
      • Disaffection, God will cause people to fall out of like with you because he wants to do something in/with you

    • If you have propensity or need to always be validated by others, or affirmed by the crowd, you might want to rethink whether or not you are ready for Victories: it's lonely at the top

    • The reward for the sacrifice of dealing with a season of loneliness,  is that you learn how to listen to your spirit

  • Jacob had to deal with Jacob
  • Certain stigmas associated with his name, which are indicative of his own character flaws.
  • Supplanter
  • Trickster
  • Defrauder
  • It's difficult to be a winner when you are losing yourself

Level II Victory  ~ Wrestling with God
  • You got learn to see God when you can't see nothing and nobody else
  • Discern when you are having a divine visitation from the supernatural realm
  • You got to learn to grab and hold on to God in the toughiest of times
  • Your learning to touch God will demand that he touch you
  • Anytime you pull something out of the essence of god you should have something to show for it
  • Jacobs sign that he had won was his limp.
  • For those of us that have been called to greater there is always going to be something that reveals our power and strength
    • Struggle is a revealer
    • Pressure is a revealer
    • Accusation is a revealer
    • What's been revealed is not your defeat but your victory
    • “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” ~ ‭Romans‬ ‭8:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Level III Victory ~ Wrestling with What You Carry to bring it forth

  • Even though Jacob had a promise it was not without problems
    • The woman he loved was barren
    • What do you do when the institution that God ordained to make you productive is flawed
    • When you want it everything around you got to say you want it even in the face of opposing factors
    • There is no need for faith to be factual, just transferable

  • [We see an example of this in jacob's wife, rachel] “Rachel said, “God took my side and vindicated me. He listened to me and gave me a son.” She named him Dan (Vindication). Rachel’s maid Bilhah became pregnant again and gave Jacob a second son. Rachel said, “I’ve been in an all-out fight with my sister—and I’ve won.” So she named him Naphtali (Fight).” ~ Genesis‬ ‭30:6-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬
    • Even in barrenness you got to see yourself pregnant
    • If everybody else around you is dropping babies you got to believe that your time is coming
      • I got favor/God is taking my side
      • I got fight in me/God has caused me to win

Level IV Victory ~ Wrestling with Principalities
  • “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” ~ Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ KJV‬‬

  • Dare to fight the enemies of your success
    • The enemies turf but God's terms

CONCLUSION:
  • When you wrestle and win you receive a breakers anointing
  • When you wrestle and win you receive a name/status change
  • When you wrestle and win you receive elevation and promotion
  • When you wrestle and win you receive revelation
  • When you wrestle and win your life becomes a memorial for generations to come
